Precor has announced its new distribution partner in India, The India Fitness Connect Pvt. Ltd., which took over distribution of Precor’s premium cardio and strength fitness equipment from January this year.
Mr. Cliff Manifold, Regional Sales Director for Precor in South-East Asia and India, said he is delighted to be working with TIFC, founded by Ms. Sherry George.
“This is an extremely exciting time for us, as we have had a busy and successful year and have now appointed our new distributor, who is highly experienced and well-respected within the industry here in India,” he said.
TIFC is newly established by Sherry, who has more than 15 years’ experience in the Indian fitness industry, previously distributing other well-known fitness brands with successful sales growth and results.
Sherry said she is pleased to be working with a premium brand such as Precor, and believes there are synergies between the two businesses. “I believe technology synced with customer engagement is a major force to drive new business in the current environment, and these are both key areas of focus and expertise for Precor. So the future is bright for us as we join forces to supply great equipment to the industry in India,” Sherry adds.
Precor is poised for substantial growth in the region with various acquisitions in 2015. In September it completed the acquisition of world-leading multi-functional training specialist, Queenax. The acquisition enhances the Precor fitness platform, which includes traditional strength, cardio and networked fitness offerings.
“More recently we’ve announced a long term partnership with world leaders in indoor cycling, Mad Dogg Athletics Inc., creators of Spinning indoor cycling programmes, Spinning Instructor Certification programmes and Spinner lines of bikes, to create a brand new line of premium co-developed bikes,” said Clifford.
“We are looking forward to a very busy and prosperous 2016 with our new distributor on board, and so many exciting additions to our stable of premium equipment via these acquisitions and other announcements planned for next year,” concluded Clifford.
